Appears Obvious to me that the 681's are getting done!
681's are Nehmer claims filed between Oct '09 and August 30th 2010. The newer Nehmers. They may find evidence in some of these that proof of IHD existed in a prior claim and be moved to 687 ( the ones...

A DX date does not count, it is when you filed a claim. When you filed for the DMII in 2004, if in that file there was evidence of the IHD, they can assign the effective date back to 2004. You should...

I filed a claim in 2008 that was denied. I filed a 1151 claim for Broken Sternum due to Cabg in the VAMC. Of course they denied the claim. I looked back in the old denied claims and appeals section of...

I'm thinking that the 687's are the claims filed and denied before Oct 2009 and that the Vet is deceased or they never refiled after Nov 2009 and under Nehmer the VA had to research and notify them...

LouF and 7THINFDIV: You are both correct. A 687 claim had to have been denied OR some how over looked (inferred) in the past. All of these claims (681 and 687) must be adjudicated/re-adjudicated in...

7THINFDIV This is what rate review is all about. The VA has to review the denials and see if they must be readjudicated. It sounds like you filed for a secondary to IHD, I am not an expert and have no...

I am thrilled that the new claims are getting knocked out so quickly. I guess I am just a bit discouraged about the older claims just sitting there. I know they are wanting to knock out the easy...

Happy Valentines Day to all of you and your better halves. Grumble all you want, that's what we are here for. It is discouraging for the 687's, because there are so many and we do see other's flying...
